It was a time when no land was claimed and horses broke away from their human suppressors. All breeds and all types of Equines had now been liberated, galloping west across the unmanned and untamed new found world.

One of those Equines, a black Stallion named Black Oak, grew greedy. He and his three brothers in spirit, led a Bachelor band of eight stallions, dubbed the Black Hearts, into the heart of the Equine Homeland, and crushed every leader that stood in their path, be they Stallion or Mare.

Stomping on the corpses of their enemies, Black Oak and his band of slayers overtook six herds and claimed them their own. One mighty herd was established, Black Oak’s Herd, made up of his three brothers in spirit, the eight original bachelors, three guardian stallions, and thirty-one equines consisting of stolen mares and foals.

For three seasons, Black Oak ruled with an iron hoof, and destroyed any irritant in his way, be they rebellious herd member, threatening rogue, betraying bachelor, nagging mare, or annoying foal. At the beginning of the third season, Black Oak took an unwilling appaloosa mare of his own, named Fallen Lilac.

During the season of dropping foals, Black Oak witnessed the birth of his first born, a filly he named Furst Frost due to her unique coat coloring. He raised Furst Frost with pride and determination, implanting dominance and aggression in the innocent filly’s heart.

The sixth season of Black Oak’s reign, Furst Frost had turned three, and was requested to court bachelor, by bachelor, repeatedly. She tossed her mane and raised her muzzle to all, refusing their gifts and kind words. She was a strong filly, a dominate mare, strong and proud enough to take Black Oaks place.

Until Furst Frost met Morning Sun, a rogue palomino mustang. He was found at the outskirts of the herd, grazing contently and unaware of the danger he was potentially in. Furst Frost attempted to chase the stallion out, but
